White Industries T11 hubs mated to Stan’s Alpha 400 rims is a combination I’ve built (and ridden) in more than one incarnation. This set is put together with Sapim Laser spokes in the front and rear non-drive side, Sapim Race rounding out the rear. That puts total weight a hair over 1500 grams while remaining stiff enough for the rider. These wheels are setup tubeless with Stan’s tape and valves supporting Schwalbe Pro One tires in 700×28. To cope with wet coastal winters I’m building a spirited road bike that takes fenders. These are the wheels I built for myself: White Industries T11 hubs laced to Stan’s Alpha 400 rims; Sapim D-Light spokes on the front and a blend of Sapim Race and Sapim Laser on the rear. 1518 grams total.
These wheels will run tubeless with Schwalbe One tires along with the full stack of Stan’s tape, valves and sealant. The cassette is Dura-Ace 9000 and the skewers are Dura-Ace 7900.

This everyday wheelset mates classic-looking White Industries T11 hubs and Stan’s Alpha 400 rims. These rims build light wheels and offer the option of running tubeless or with tubes. With 28 DT Competition spokes per wheel and brass nipples, they’ll be rock solid for years.

The requirement for this build was a set of do-it-all road wheels for one helluva fit rider. That means training, some racing, gravel and whatever the day calls for. That means a preference for lightness without entering fragile territory. I put together this package of White Industries T11 hubs, H Plus Son Archetype rims and Sapim Laser spokes. The spoke count, 24 front and 28 rear combined with a light butted spoke help keep weight down. It’s still enough spokes and uses a stiff enough rim that they will be plenty resilient. For style points, check out the blue hub and matching alloy nipples.
